The following is the LLP registration process as per MCA -
- Register
yourself on the website of the Ministry of Corporate Affairs, developed
for LLP services.
- Fill in the
registration form. Select your username and password.
- Upload the
digital signature certificate.
- All
designated partners of the proposed LLP will have to obtain a Designated
Partner Identification Number (DPIN) / Director Identification Number
(DIN)”. DPIN/DIN may be applied from the MCA website.
- The
partner/designated partner of the LLP whose signatures are to be affixed
on the e-forms has to obtain a class 2 or class 3 Digital Signature
Certificate (DSC) from any authorized certifying agency.

in" tab located in the upper right corner of the webpage. Click the
"E-Forms" link after logging in.
- To reserve a
name, open Form-1 and complete the information. Choose the proposed LLP's

listed in the incorporation document as a designated partner with a
permanent DPIN must digitally sign the statement in the e-form, as must an
attorney, company secretary, chartered accountant, or cost accountant who
is actively involved in the formation of an LLP.
- After
receiving the necessary paperwork and confirming that the LLP Act's
pertinent provisions are being followed, the Registrar will register the
LLP no later than 14 days after Form-2 is filed and issue a certificate of
incorporation in Form-16.
- You can
check the status of your application by logging on to the portal.
- At the time
of filing Form-2, or within 30 days of the date of incorporation, or
within 30 days of such subsequent changes, Forms 3 (Information with
regard to LLP agreement and changes, if any made therein) and 4 (Notice of
Appointment of Partner/Designate Partner, his consent, etc.) may be filed
simultaneously with the prescribed fee.
